My name is Connie and I work part time in my home salon 2 days a week. I have been married 30 years to Patrick, (Pat) this coming April 8th 2008. He is a store manager for Michaels Craft Store. We have a daughter, Jennifer who is 27 and lives in St. Petersburg, FL where she works for as a Contracts Administrator. Our son Justin 21 works for IBM here in Charlotte, NC. We also have 3 toy poodles, named Sadie and Zoe and Hayley.
I have always loved any type of crafting from ceramics to knitting and beyond. You name it I have tried it. I have been crocheting for years, but recently learned how to make crochet garments. I also learned about knitting with knitting boards and looms about 2 years ago and since I had never learned to needle knit these tools inspired me. So, before long I was designing my own patterns for them. You can see my designs at Bee Happy Designs.
Then Christmas 2006 my husband gave me 2 knitting books. I proclaimed to him that I didn’t know how to needle knit to which he replied, well you can do everything else, I figured you could learn. So, February 2007 I finally did and I have been knitting ever since. I even taught my mom how to knit. We usually get together weekly to knit .
It seems as if I can’t get enough of knitting and I am always finding new patterns and yarns and books that I just have to have.
Thus …. my reason for blogging … to share all of this with you!
